Elevance Health Foundation Announces 2026-2027 Grant Cycles

The Elevance Health Foundation has detailed its strategic grantmaking approach for the next five years, acting as a catalyst for positive change in community-based healthcare. The foundation is prioritizing partnerships that address the holistic needs—physical, behavioral, and social—of socially vulnerable populations across the United States.

Scope of Funding

The foundation’s grantmaking efforts are concentrated in four key pillars designed to drive measurable improvements in public health:

  • Maternal/Infant Health
  • Food as Medicine
  • Behavioral Health
  • Community Resiliency & Disaster Relief

Eligibility and Requirements

Funding is specifically designated for community-based nonprofit organizations. Applicants must demonstrate a capacity for scalable solutions and provide a clear plan for tracking measurable outcomes. While funding levels are open, the foundation determines awards based on the demonstrated community need and the robustness of the presented intervention strategy.

Partnership and Timeline

Grants generally span a duration of one to three years. The Foundation utilizes a multi-year schedule for different focus areas to ensure sustained impact:

  • Maternal/Infant Health: Application deadline is July 31, 2026.
  • Food as Medicine: Grant applications will be accepted again in 2027.
  • Behavioral Health: Grant applications will be accepted again in 2027.

For the Community Resiliency & Disaster Relief pillar, the Foundation maintains ongoing partnerships with national and local organizations to provide support before, during, and after crisis events.
